This perfect family vacation destination, Sarasota and Siesta Key boast fantastic beachside picnic areas and playgrounds, and is home to superior small lodgings, candlelit restaurants and cozy vacation rentals - ideal for a romantic getaway. As the Florida sun sets, Siesta Key's nightlife kicks in at the Siesta Village - Siesta Key’s bustling heart, filled with bars, restaurants and shops.

Sarasota prides itself on its cultural offerings. There's the opera, symphony, film society, aquarium, classic-car museum and dozens of galleries - an extraordinary amount of culture for such a small town. There's even a permanent circus - The Ringling Museum of Art. Along Midnight Pass Road to the south and along Beach Road to the north of Crescent Beach are several public beach accesses and parking. At the south end of the key is Turtle Beach. The beach is not as crowded as Siesta Key Beach and has a great abundance of seashells. South of Turtle Beach is Palmer Point Beach, a remote stretch of sand and sea oats.

Renowned for its powdery white sand, Crescent Beach was entered in the World Sand Challenge in 1987, and awarded for having the world's "finest and whitest" sand. From the parking area, cross over sea oats and sea grapes by wooden footbridges and view wild rabbits enjoying a morning feast. The facility includes sheltered picnic areas, restrooms, concession stands, lifeguards, volleyball courts, tennis courts, a softball field, playground and fitness trail.
