Miami, the largest urbanized area in the state of Florida is located in Miami-Dade County making up part of the Greater South Florida metropolitan area. Miami is known as a "cultural melting pot" due to its diverse population, which includes Latin Americans and the Caribbean. The city has many cultural, recreational, and entertainment attractions and activities. Miami is home to many art galleries and museums including Lowe Art Museum and the Vizcaya-Miami Art Museum. Miami is also home to many athletic teams such as the National Football Leagues’ Miami Dolphins, the Major League Baseball team the Florida Marlins, and the National Basketball Association’s Miami Heat.
